Who Are We?

Well, I say 'we'. I'm George: just one guy. I love taking notes as a student and continue to do so at both my job and home. I always found it daunting to approach a new notebook or sketchbook and felt that the variety wasn't there regarding simple notebooks. I'm not big on logos because I feel like a walking advert, nor large graphics as I feel like nothing can truly represent me if it's mass printed. I see all these notebooks with things like "Idea's that can change the world", or "Big-Company Notes" and while they look great, they didn't give much room for personality which is why I came up with a simple logo-free notebook. The name simply comes from my name 'George's Notebooks', but the notebooks are really yours.

The Notebooks

Each notebook has between 100 and 600 pages, depending on your selection. The designs are by me and range from simple no-nonsense lined, to job-specific dots, to crazy wavy lines. So, there should be a notebook for everyone. As I say on the homepage, you can keep it simple and appeal to your inner minimalist, or you can go wild and design your own cover. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a fully re-covered one by using the notebook as a text-block for your bookbinding project. In fact, it was my own attempt at bookbinding which led to the idea of designing notebooks.

The Business

The business is very small at the moment. I'm relying on social media engagement to build things up. The books are created using Lulu's Print API and each notebook has been created in some way by myself. I felt that making each book as per an order might slow down delivery so every iteration of every option of every book exists somewhere as a file. That means, with 10 designs x 7 colours x 4 sizes x 2 cover options x 2 page count options, that's 1120 different books, each with a manuscript, cover, preview image. Basically, a lot. If you have any further questions or enquiries, head to the contact page and suggest anything you like. With the new set up, it should be extra easy to add designs on request so your book can be even more personal.
